Former Audi Exec to Head Genesis N. America

Hyundai Motor Co.’s Genesis unit has appointed Mark Del Rosso CEO of the luxury marque’s operations in North America, effective Oct. 21.  

Erwin Raphael, who has been leading Genesis’s efforts in the region, will continue to serve as chief operating officer. Raphael will report to Del Rosso, overseeing sales, marketing, strategy and operations in the U.S.

Del Rosso left his job as president of Audi of America in May, less than six months after assuming the position. He previously served as COO of Audi of America and headed Bentley’s Americas operations.

Prior to joining Volkswagen Group in 2008, Del Rosso spent 17 years with Toyota and its Lexus brand.

At Genesis, Del Rosso will report to Jose Munoz, the former Nissan Motor Co. executive who was named in April to head Hyundai Group’s operations in the Americas.
