Ford to Trademark “Scout” Names
Ford Motor Co. has filed a trademark application in the U.S. for the names Scout and Bronco Scout.

Ford Motor Co. has filed a trademark application in the U.S. for the names Scout and Bronco Scout.
The names could be used for the “Baby Bronco” crossover vehicle that Ford plans. Due next year, that vehicle will share a platform with the 2020 Escape and Lincoln Corsair small crossover vehicles.
Ford has never made a vehicle with the Scout name. International Harvester used the moniker on several Jeep-like SUVs from 1960 to 1980.
