Ford Motor Co. is moving production of its 2016 model medium-duty F-Series pickup trucks to Avon Lake, Ohio, from Mexico in early 2015.

The move will affect the company's redesigned F-650 and F-750 trucks, which are available with a next-generation 6.7-liter V-8 diesel or 6.8-liter V-10 gasoline engine.

The Avon Lake facility also makes Ford's E-Series cab-chassis and stripped chassis units. The plant is phasing out production of the E-Series cargo van and passenger van. Those models are being replaced by the 25% more fuel-efficient Transit Van, which is produced at Ford's factory in Kansas City, Mo.
