Ford Motor Co.’s Smart Mobility unit will open an innovation office in London later this year to develop advanced mobility technologies for the European market.
Ford Motor Co.’s Smart Mobility unit will open an innovation office in London later this year to develop advanced mobility technologies for the European market.
The facility initially will house about 40 technicians, according to the company. The office will be at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park whose private-road network may eventually be used for vehicle testing, according to the company.
The area is a tech hub that includes Loughborough University, with which Ford has partnered for years. Recent projects with the university have involved powertrain research and plug-in hybrid development.
