Ford to Double Staff in Silicon Valley

Ford Motor Co. is readying a new advanced mobility office in Palo Alto, Calif., and plans to double its Silicon Valley workforce there to 300 people by the end of this year, The Detroit News reports.

The new 150,000 sq-ft facility will supplement the startup-like office Ford opened across the street in 2015. The expanded space will house design studios, engineering labs, software engineering pods and an auditorium, according to the company.
