Ford Motor Co. has released the darkened image of a new variant of its GT supercar, which will be unveiled at next month's Goodwood Festival of Speed in the U.K.

The silhouette shows a large rear wing inspired by Ford’s GTE-Pro racer that competed at last week’s 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race. A GTE-Pro model also will compete at Goodwood’s annual hill climb race.

Ford introduced the latest GT sports coupe—base-priced at more than $400,000—in 2017. That vehicle is powered by a turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 that generates 647 hp.

The original GT40 won Le Mans four straight years from 1966 to 1969, including a 1-2-3 finish in the 1966 race. The new movie, “Ford v Ferrari,” chronicles the car’s development and the historic Le Mans competition that resulted.
