Ford Motor Co. operations in China wholesaled 90,800 vehicles last month compared with 72,800 in July 2013., according to the company. Demand in January-July rose one-third to a record 640,000 vehicles.

Ford's car sales through Changan Ford climbed 19% to 64,100 units in China last month. Volume gained 36% to 462,100 in the first seven months of the year.

Sales by the company's Jiangling Motors Corp. commercial vehicle venture grew 33% to 22,000 in July and 22% to 155,000 for the year to date.

Ford plans to introduce 15 new models in China by the end of next year. The company currently operates seven plants in the country and is building three more.
