Ford Sales in Europe Climbed 9% in January

Ford Motor Co. reports sales of 80,800 vehicles in its top 20 European markets last month compared with 74,000 units in January 2013.

The 9.2% growth rate was nearly twice that for the market overall. Results helped the company hike its market share 0.3 points to 7.5%. Ford also credits the introduction of 11 new or restyled models in the past 15 months.
