Ford Sales in China Jumped One-Third in May

Ford Motor Co. reports wholesale volume of 93,300 vehicles in China last month compared with 70,400 units in May 2013. Sales for January-May climbed 39% to 461,500 cars and trucks.

Ford says its passenger car sales, including imports, rose 35% to 72,000 units. Demand through the first five months of the year advanced 46% to 347,500.

Changan Ford Automobile accounted for 67,500 car sales in May, up 32%. Jiangling Motor Corp. boosted its commercial vehicle volume 25% to 21,300 trucks.
