The company's December sales rose 35% to 94,800 vehicles, helping Ford outsell Toyota and Honda in China last year.
Toyota and its two joint-venture partners hiked full-year sales 9% to about 917,500 units, according to Reuters. The news service reports that Honda's sales grew 26% to about 757,000.
Ford says its passenger vehicle venture, Changan Ford Automotive, boosted wholesale deliveries in China 62% to 679,000 units last year. The company's commercial-vehicle partnership, Jiangling Motors Corp., increased wholesale volume 15% to 230,000 units.
