Ford Report Sales Gain in China

Ford Motor Co.'s wholesale volume in China last month climbed 29% to 96,800 vehicles compared with results for April 2013.

Sales in the country through the first four months of 2014 climbed 41% to 368,200 units. Ford says demand for its imported models surged 72% in April to 3,300 units and more than tripled to 12,200 in January-April.

Commercial vehicles account for 25% of Ford's volume in China so far this year.
