Ford Motor Co. says it is launching two recalls in India involving a combined 166,100 vehicles produced over the past three years.
The largest campaign will look for cracks in the rear suspension twist beams in 109,500 Figo subcompact hatchbacks and 22,500 Classic small cars made between January 2010 and June 2012. Last summer Ford recalled 122,000 of the two models to fix the same problem.
Ford also will reroute a power-steering hose that could leak and cause a fire in the engine compartment in 30,700 Figo and 3,400 Classic cars made in 2010. The campaign extends a recall last year to fix the same flaw in nearly 18,000 Figo and Classic vehicles built in 2010 and 2011.
