Ford Re-ups Shelby Mustang for 2018, Adds Colors

Ford Motor Co. has extended the life of the high-output Shelby GT350 Mustang sports coupe and track-only GT350R through the 2018 model year.

The only changes for 2018 will be three new colors: Orange Fury, Kona Blue and Lead Foot Gray.

Billed as the “most track-ready, street-legal” Mustang ever, the Shelby GT350 is powered by a 5.2-liter V-8 that kicks out 526 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque. A Shelby GT500 with a twin-turbo V-8 also has been rumored.

Ford relaunched the GT350/GT350R in late 2015. The original Mustang Shelby GT350 was introduced in 1965.
