Ford Motor Co. has filed a patent for a telematics system that would sync with a user’s smartphone calendar and automatically dial into scheduled meetings through a car’s audio system.
Required login and access codes would be saved and entered without the driver having to manually input them. Other participants in the meeting would be identified on the vehicle’s infotainment display. Shared documents also could be displayed on the screen when the vehicle is in a “predefined state,” according to the patent.
The system also could automatically remind motorists of upcoming appointments at set intervals.
