Mark Buzzell has been named president and CEO of Ford Motor Co.’s Canadian unit, effective Jan. 1.

Buzzell will succeed Dianne Craig, who has served in both roles since 2011. She will take over as Ford’s U.S. director of sales, also on Jan. 1.

Craig helped make Ford the best-selling automotive brand in Canada for the past five years. The company notes that Ford of Canada achieved record-high customer sales and service satisfaction scores this year.

Buzzell, who currently is general manager of Ford’s western U.S. zone, joined the company in 1989 and has held sales and marketing positions in the Caribbean and Central America.
