Ford Names New Chief of Product Development
Ford Motor Co. has chosen Trevor Worthington to head its global product development operations and vehicle programs, effective immediately.
Ford Motor Co. has chosen Trevor Worthington to head its global product development operations and vehicle programs, effective immediately.
Worthington, 55, joined Ford in 1985. He most recently was head of product development for Asia Pacific. His new responsibilities include coordinating product development resources and reducing the cost of materials and engineering through the product development cycle.
Worthington’s former job has been turned over to Graham Pearson, a 31-year veteran at Ford who had been vehicle line director for cars and SUVs for Ford Asia Pacific
Worthington’s career at Ford included stints as head of product development in Australia, where he headed early development work on the Ford Ranger midsize pickup truck. In China, he headed Ford’s plans to build a research and engineering center in Nanjing and to introduce more than 50 new models in China by 2025.
