Ford Hires Former Apple Exec as New Brand Chief
Ford Motor Co. has hired 34-year-old Musa Tariq to help differentiate the Ford brand and extend its definition to that of a mobility company.
Ford Motor Co. has hired 34-year-old Musa Tariq to help differentiate the Ford brand and extend its definition to that of a mobility company. He will begin on Jan. 30 as a vice president and chief brand officer.
Tariq most recently was Apple Inc.’s global marketing and communication director, where he enhanced the company’s 490 retail stores worldwide. Before joining Apple, he directed social media activities for shoemaker Nike and headed social media and digital marketing operations at clothing retailer Burberry.
At Ford, Tariq will report jointly to Stephen Odell, head of global marketing, sales and service; and Ray Day, head of communications.
