Ford Motor Co. is discontinuing its Edge midsize crossover vehicle in the U.K.

The model bowed in Europe in 2016, 10 years after it was launched in the U.S. Just 16,000 Edges were sold in the inaugural year in Europe, with sales in the region plunging to less than 1,700 units last year.
Ford tells Autocar it will continue to sell the Edge in seven continental European countries. Availability in other regions won’t be affected.
In the U.K., Ford will focus on its smaller Kuga crossover vehicle. The company also is launching the all-new Puma small crossover next year in Europe. Ford will be importing its large Explorer large SUV to select European markets that exclude the U.K.
