Ford Adds Adjustable Suspension Kit

Ford Motor Co.’s Performance Parts has begun offering an after-purchase suspension leveling kit for its F-150 and Ranger pickups.

The package costs $1,500 through dealers. Installation fees are additional.

In the Ranger, the system provides a 21% gain in approach angle and a 10% increase in breakover angle. The F-150 with a 145-inch wheelbase benefits from a 22% steeper approach angle and 7% higher breakover angle.

The kit features specially tuned Fox off-road shocks, new front coil-over springs and upper mounts with polyurethane bushings. Ford says the system provides a 2-inch front lift to level the vehicle on steep grades.
