Finalists Named for European Car of the Year
A panel of journalists from 23 countries has selected seven finalists for the 2014 European Car of the Year award.
A panel of journalists from 23 countries has selected seven finalists for the 2014 European Car of the Year award. The winner will be announced on March 3 at the Geneva auto show.
The competitors, which were selected from an initial field of 30 models, include:
- BMW i3 electric city car
- Citroen C4 Picasso MPV
- Mazda3 small hatch
- Mercedes-Benz S-Class large luxury sedan
- Peugeot 308 five-door hatch
- Skoda Octavia sedan
- Tesla Model S electric sport sedan
Last year's winner was the seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf, which outscored the Toyota GT86/Subaru BR-Z sport coupes and Volvo v40 five-door hatch.
