Jurors have announced the final contenders for 2017 model North American car, truck and utility vehicle awards. Winners will be announced on Jan. 9 ahead of the Detroit auto show.

Finalists for Car of the Year are the Chevrolet Bolt electric sedan, Genesis G90 luxury sedan and Volvo’s flagship S90 sedan.

The trio of pickups vying for Truck of the Year honors are the fullsize Ford F-Series Super Duty, midsize Honda Ridgeline and large Nissan Titan.

The 2017 finalists for Utility Vehicle of the Year—a new category—are the Chrysler Pacifica minivan, Jaguar F-Pace crossover and Mazda CX-9 large crossover.

The final nine competitors were selected through two rounds of voting in a process that began in June. Today’s finalists were announced at the Los Angeles auto show.
