Fiat Recalls 500L Minicars Over Slow-Shift Flaw
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV is recalling 18,100 of its Fiat 500L minicars with automatic transmissions that in cold weather may select gears slowly or refuse to shift out of Park.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV is recalling 18,100 of its Fiat 500L minicars with automatic transmissions that in cold weather may select gears slowly or refuse to shift out of Park.
The U.S. recall, which will begin in April, covers 2014 models made between April 201 and January 2014 at Fiat's factory in Serbia.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the company plans to replace the shift module and reprogram software that controls the transmission. Fiat Chrysler reports no crashes or injuries related to the defect.
