Festival of the Unexceptional Postponed
British event to be pushed back to 2021 in light of COVID-19 crisis
In potentially underwhelming and unsurprising news, the 2020 Festival of the Unexceptional has been postponed until 2021. The event was to be held at Grimsthorpe Castle, Lincolnshire, on July 25th. Next year’s date has not been announced, but the venue will remain the same.

According to spokesperson Marcus Atkinson, managing director, Hagerty UK, “It was an agonizing decision to cancel this much-loved event, but it is the right thing to do in light of the situation we all find ourselves in. We can assure fans of the event that it will return in 2021 bigger and better than ever. Until then, Hagerty extends best wishes of all clients, partners and car enthusiasts and urges everyone to do all they can to follow government advice and stay home, protect the NHS and save lives.”
While the show is postponed, owners of cars manufactured between 1966 and 1996 are encouraged to enter their vehicle for consideration to participate in the Concours de l’Ordinaire. The registration form can be found here.
