Ferrari SUV to Get Hidden Rear Doors?

Ferrari NV’s long-rumored crossover/SUV will include hidden rear doors, Autocar reports.

The unconfirmed new vehicle is expected to be called the FUV—Ferrari Utility Vehicle—and marketed in its own segment, the British enthusiast magazine says, citing Bernstein Research analyst Max Warburton. He describes the vehicle’s rear door treatment as a “clever hidden arrangement” without elaborating.

Ferrari previously has vowed not to produce an SUV. But Warburton says this is a case of semantics. He estimates Ferrari could sell as many as 3,000 FUVs per year. The Ferrari vehicle would compete against models from such luxury makers as Aston Martin, Bentley, Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce.
