The complex will include a 250-room hotel, driving simulators and Europe's fastest vertical rollercoaster, according to the Financial Times. Ferrari already operates a similar attraction in Abu Dhabi and is contemplating another in Asia.
The PortAventura development is owned by private equity firms KKR and Investindustrial. The latter firm owns nearly 40% of rival British supercar maker Aston Martin Lagonda.
The Spanish facility is Europe's third-largest resort, attracting some four million visitors annually. Developers tell the FT they expect Ferrari Land to draw an additional 500,000 patrons per year.
