French supplier Faurecia SA plans to open a new North American headquarters and technical center in Auburn Hills, Mich., in the first quarter of 2014, Crain's Detroit Business reports.

The newspaper, which cites the building's developer, says the new complex will house Faurecia's regional executives, an administrative staff of 700 and light manufacturing operations.

Faurecia already has factories and an R&D center in the U.S. for each of its units: emissions controls, interiors, seating and exteriors. The company is 57.4% owned by PSA Peugeot Citroen, which formed a product-development alliance with General Motors Co. early last year.
