Faurecia, Liuzhou Wuling Expand Partnership
French auto supplier Faurecia SA has formed a second joint venture with China’s Liuzhou Wuling Industry Co. to develop and produce interior components.

French auto supplier Faurecia SA has formed a second joint venture with China’s Liuzhou Wuling Industry Co. to develop and produce interior components.
The new Faurecia Liuzhou Automotive Interior Co. will supply instrument panels, center consoles, door panels and acoustic products to SAIC-GM-Wuling Automotive Co. and other carmakers. Located in Liuzhou, the joint venture targets annual sales of 1.3 billion yuan ($200 million) from 3 plants by 2022.
The joint venture follows an earlier one for seating systems between the two companies that was announced in July. That venture, Faurecia Liuzhou Automotive Seating Co., will build complete seats, frames and other seat components at Liuzhou Wuling’s existing plants in Chongqing, Liuzhou and Qingdao.
Established in 2007, Liuzhou Wuling is jointly owned by Guangxi Auto Group Co. and Wuling Motor Holdings Ltd. The venture supplies a variety components and engine systems, generating annual sales of more than 10 billion yuan ($1.5 billion).
