Legendary race car driver Emerson Fittipaldi is readying a new supercar he developed with Italian design house Pininfarina SpA and German engineering firm HWA AG.

Dubbed the Fittipaldi EF & Vision Gran Turismo, the car will be unveiled in March at the Geneva auto show. A teaser image shows a raked roofline, oversized rear wing and slender taillights.

In addition to a road car, the design will be used in PlayStation’s popular Gran Turismo video game.

HWA, which was spun off from Daimler AG’s AMG performance unit in 1998, runs the Mercedes-AMG German Touring Car race team and supplies it with cars and engines. Media reports speculate that the Fittipaldi EF car will use Mercedes-AMG’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine.

Fittipaldi, who has multiple wins at the Indianapolis 500 and Formula One and CART championships, says he applied his track knowledge during the development process to enhance the vehicle’s driving experience. The vehicle will be marketed by the driver's new Fittipaldi Motors company.
