Denso says the investments are aimed at increasing capacity and expanding research and development capabilities, much of it to support the auto industry's fuel economy initiatives. Projects include a new facility in Maryville, Tenn., to make proprietary manufacturing equipment and dies.
Denso currently operates 26 production facilities in North America.
