Denso to Expand N. American Headquarters

Denso Corp. is spending $10 million to expand R&D capacity at its North American headquarters in Southfield, Mich.

The expansion will add an existing 81,000-sq-ft office building and add 176 jobs. Denso says the project will add labs and test facilities related to hybrid vehicle, gasoline direct injection, high-output alternators and infotainment and connectivity products.

The headquarters expansion is part of a four-year, $1 billion plan to expand Denso's capabilities in North America.
