Denso Invests $190 Million in Tennessee Plant
Denso Corp. will spend $190 million to expand capacity at its facility in Athens, Tenn., that makes fuel delivery, ignition and exhaust gas recirculation systems.
Denso Corp. will spend $190 million to expand capacity at its facility in Athens, Tenn., that makes fuel delivery, ignition and exhaust gas recirculation systems.
The money will be used to add four production lines. These will consist of a new line for gasoline direct injection systems, one for low-pressure fuel pumps and two high-pressure fuel pump production systems.
Denso expanded the Athens plant by 45% to 719,000 sq ft in 2016. The company says the new investment will create 320 jobs.
