Dassault Systemes SA plans to acquire Apriso Corp., a U.S. provider of manufacturing system management software, for $205 million (€159 million) in cash. The companies expect the deal to be completed in July.
Apriso says Dassault will replace its venture capital investors, thus enabling the California-based company to maintain its strong growth.
Dassault says Apriso's production management tools will be integrated with its own Delmia portfolio of manufacturing software. The French company says the deal also will help extend its 3-D design and product lifecycle management software into new markets.
