Daimler AG’s Mercedes-Benz unit has opened a research center in Tel Aviv to work on digital services, mobility systems and cybersecurity.
Daimler AG’s Mercedes-Benz unit has opened a research center in Tel Aviv to work on digital services, mobility systems and cybersecurity.
The facility’s 15-member staff is expected to grow to 25 in 2018. Reuters says Israel is home to some 450 startups that are working on automotive technologies.
Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche says the company will use the new facility in part to pursue partnerships with the startups and/or invest in them.
