Daimler AG says it will increase annual capacity at its Mercedes-Benz factory in Tuscaloosa, Ala., to 300,000 units by the end of next year.

Daimler sold 312,500 Mercedes vehicles in the U.S. last year, 185,000 of them made in Alabama. The facility, which has been making M-, GL- and R-Class crossovers, added the C-Class sedan in June and is launching the ML crossover coupe next year.
