Green Car Journal has named the Toyota Corolla, Honda CR-V and Ram 1500 pickup as its Green Car, SUV and Truck models of the year, respectively.

The winners are selected by GCJ editors and a panel of jurors from national environmental and energy efficiency organizations. This is the 15th year of the awards.

The Corolla and CR-V are available with conventional stand-alone piston engines and hybrid-electric variants. The Corolla Hybrid has a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency fuel efficiency rating of 53 mpg in the city and 52 mpg on the highway.

The winning Ram 1500 (pictured) teams a 3.0-liter V-6 EcoDiesel engine with a mild-hybrid system. The truck gets 32 mpg on the highway, generates 480 lb-ft of torque and has a towing capacity of nearly 12,600 lbs.
