March deliveries fell in all major markets except the U.K., where sales rose 8% to 49,100 units. Volume dropped in France (-10% to 37,000 units), Germany (-19% to 25,100 units), Italy (-20% to 9,800 units) and Spain (-20% to 8,300 units).
Registrations of light-duty commercial vehicles across Europe declined 8% to 144,700 units last month. Demand for medium- and heavy-duty trucks tumbled 19% to nearly 25,000 units. Sales of buses shrank 17% to 2,900 units.
In the January-March period, registrations of all commercial vehicles in the region slid 11% to 419,200 units. Light commercial vehicle volume fell 10% to 347,500 units.
