Commercial Truck Sales in Europe Climb Again

Deliveries of commercial vehicles across Europe grew 4% to 280,200 units in March, trade group ACEA reports. It was the third straight month of year-on-year gains.
Gains were mixed in the region’s five largest markets. Monthly sales rose in the U.K. (+10% to 73,700 units), Germany (+9% to 37,700 units) and Spain (+5% to 22,500). But demand declined in France (-200 units to 53,400 trucks) and Italy (-2% to 16,000).
ACEA says heavy-duty truck deliveries in March advanced 2% to 32,600 units. Overall commercial truck volume in the first quarter climbed 5% to 675,200 units.
