Citroen Names Deputy CEO

PSA Peugeot Citroen has appointed Yves Bonnefont to the additional role of deputy CEO of its Citroen brand, effective immediately.

PSA Peugeot Citroen has appointed Yves Bonnefont to the additional role of deputy CEO of its Citroen brand, effective immediately. He will retain his current job PSA's group strategy director for repositioning the Citroen and Peugeot brands.

In his new job, Bonnefont will be responsible for expanding the Citroen's DS upscale sub-brand, particularly in China, which will have its own distribution network. In Europe, the DS is sold in Citroen dealerships. He also will handle the new global positioning of Citroen's C-line of compact cars as budget models.

Bonnefont will report to Citroen CEO Frederic Banzet. Bonnefont began his career at PSA in 1994. After stints at management consultants Arthur Anderson and McKinsey & Co., he returned to the carmaker in the strategy job in January 2012.
