Chrysler Names New Head of Product Development

John Nigro has been appointed Chrysler Group LLC's head of NAFTA product development, effective immediately.

Nigro previously was vice president of systems and component engineering. In his new role, he will be responsible for component and system engineering, vehicle line programs, advanced vehicle development, vehicle architectures and product innovation work. He also directs vehicle testing and validation.

Nigro succeeds Mark Chernoby, who has been named chief operating officer for product development.
