Chrysler Names Lux as New Transmission Chief
Chrysler Group has named Jeffrey Lux, formerly executive director of powertrain launches at General Motors Co., as head of transmission powertrain.
Chrysler Group has named Jeffrey Lux, formerly executive director of powertrain launches at General Motors Co., as head of transmission powertrain. His new assignment was effective immediately.
Lux will be responsible for the design, development and release of all Chrysler transmission and driveline systems. He succeeds Mircea Gradu, who left the company in January after the botched launch of Chrysler's 9-speed automatic transmission in the 2014 Jeep Cherokee.
Lux holds bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering from Cornell University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Michigan State University.
