Chrysler Group LLC plans to hire 200 fulltime workers by April 1 to eke out more production of the Jeep Wrangler SUV at its Jeep factory in Toledo, Ohio.

The plant built more than 200,000 Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited SUVs in 2012. The Toledo Blade has reported that the staffing increase could boost output by 60-70 vehicles per day, about a 9% gain.

Chrysler says it has no plans to add a third shift at the facility because its paint shop is already operating at capacity.
