Now that Fiat SpA has completed its acquisition of Chrysler Group LLC, the Italian carmaker says the new name for the merged companies will be Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV.

FCA will be registered in the Netherlands, considered domiciled in the U.K. for tax purposes and have its common shares listed in New York City and Milan. The company says the structure won't affect local taxes paid by its units.

Fiat's board has approved a plan that will give Fiat shareholders one FCA common share for each Fiat share held. FCA also will adopt a loyalty voting structure in which shareholders who keep their shares may receive additional special voting rights shares when the reorganization closes.

Fiat says it expects the restructuring to be completed by the end of 2014.
