He is pinning his hopes on the new midsize Jeep Cherokee SUV that debuts in May, saying it will give the brand a fresh entry in the heart of the U.S. sport-utility market. The Cherokee replaces the Liberty.
Last year, Jeep sales soared 94% in Asia and climbed 29% in Europe, 18% in Latin America and 13% to 474,100 vehicles in the U.S.
