Chrysler Drops Monthly Production Reports

Chrysler Group is joining General Motors in ending monthly announcements about vehicle production in North America.

Both companies are continuing quarterly earnings reviews, which typically include production forecasts. GM announced its cutback last summer.

Chrysler says it is dropping the monthly reports because, as a wholly owned part of Fiat, its regional numbers no long reflect the unit's total wholesale shipments or financial condition.
