Saad Chehab, head of Chrysler Group LLC's namesake brand, tells Automotive News he'd like to expand the make's current three-model portfolio.
Chehab says Chrysler is focused on the next-generation 200 midsize sedan due next year. The marque also sells the 300 fullsize sedan and Town & Country minivan. Chehab opines that Chrysler has opportunities in such sectors as SUVs, people-haulers and small vehicles.
The revised 2013-2016 North American product schedule unveiled by the company last week suggests the Chrysler brand would get three new models in 2015. AN says those including revamped or next-generation versions of the 300 and Town & Country.
The newspaper notes that Chrysler previously discussed a possible 100 compact crossover vehicle that would ride on the same platform as the Dodge Dart small car.
