Qoros Automotive Co. will use the Geneva auto show in March to introduce a five-door hatch version of its Qoros 3 small sedan, Automotive News Europe reports.

The €14,600 sedan, which debuted at last year's Geneva and Shanghai shows, is on sale now in China. Qoros also began marketing the 3 model in Slovakia last September after the car won a five-star safety rating from EuroNCAP.

The seven-year-old company, which is co-owned by Chery Automobile Co. and investment firm Israel Corp., will produce the hatch in the same factory in Changshu that makes the sedan.

Compared with the sedan, the new C-segment hatch has a revised front grille, bumper and fog lamps. Both models are offered with 1.6-liter naturally aspirated or turbocharged engines mated to 6-speed manual or dual-clutch automatic transmissions.
