General Motors Co. hiked retail sales in China 2% to a record 352,300 units last month, led by demand for domestic brands sold by its partners.

Sales of Wuling mini-commercial vehicles and Baojun cars and SUVs totaled 118,300 units and 77,000 vehicles, respectively.

All of GM’s own brands reported gains in March. Buick deliveries grew 4% to 92,000 units. Chevrolet sales surged 35% to 47,100 vehicles, and Cadillac jumped 46% to 18,000 units.

Ford Motor Co. reports its March sales in China fell 11% to 83,700 vehicles. Volume through the first quarter of 2018 shrank 19% to 207,000 units. The company’s Lincoln brand was a bright spot: Deliveries of the luxury marque rose 27% to 5,000 units last month and 10% to 13,000 units in January-March.
