General Motors Co.’s Chevrolet brand will offer special-edition “Redline” trim packages for nine 2018 models beginning later this year. Pricing hasn't been announced.

The carmaker announced the plans Thursday at the Chicago auto show. It previously displayed several Redline concept vehicles at the 2015 Specialty Equipment Market Assn. show in Las Vegas.

The Redline trim will feature black wheels with red hash marks, black nameplates outlined in red, blacked-out grilles and black Chevy bowtie logos. Each Redline vehicle also will get unique features that will be announced later. Chevy says the program is the broadest special edition package it offers.

The first vehicle to get the Redline treatment will be the Silverado fullsize pickup, which will offer the package for both the double cab LT Z71 and crew cab LTZ Z71. Other Redline models will include special edition versions of the Camaro LT/SS (coupe and convertible), Colorado LT midsize pickup, Cruze LT (sedan and hatchback variants), Equinox LT crossover, Malibu LT midsize car (pictured), Trax LT small crossover and Traverse Premier crossover.
