New-car deliveries in western Europe grew about 4% to 1.05 million units in February, according to LMC Automotive.
The market research firm notes that registrations last month climbed in Germany (+7%), France (+4%) and Spain (+13%). Sales ebbed in Italy (-1%) and the U.K. (-3%).
LMC expects that full-year growth in new-car sales in western Europe will slow from last year’s 3% rate. The firm says a slumping market in the U.K. will depress overall totals for the region throughout the year.
