Deliveries of cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia rose 15% to 141,100 units in June, according to the Moscow-based Assn. of European Businesses.

The increase is the fourth consecutive month of year-on-year growth, signaling the end of a four-year slump. Sales through the first half of 2017 climbed 7% to 718,500 units.

Russia’s top brands all reported double-digit gains in June. Monthly sales jumped for Lada (+23% to 27,400 units), Kia (+31% to 16,800), Hyundai (+22% to 14,700) and Renault (+21% to 12,200).

AEB reiterates that it expects full-year sales, which fell 11% to 1.43 million units in 2016, will rise 4% in 2017. Car sales in Russia totaled nearly 3 million units in 2012.
